53 Scientists Defend E-Cigarettes

In recent industry news, there were Fifty-three scientists that have defended e-cigarettes. This is a phenomenal move that should soon benefit the e-cigarette industry in many ways and additionally serves as a prominent backing for the industry as a whole. These fifty-three scientists defended e-cigarettes by writing a letter to the UN’s World Health Organization Director – General Margaret Chan, cautioning her not to classify e-cigarettes as tobacco products. Classing e-cigarettes as tobacco products will lead to stricter regulatory controls on the nascent industry.

Even though most of us would prefer people to quit smoking and using nicotine altogether, experience suggests that many smokers cannot or choose not to give up nicotine and will continue to smoke if there is no safer alternative available that is acceptable to them.

Klaus Kneale of Ecig Advanced wrote a more in-depth explanation of the letter here. He then shared that letter here.
