7. SMPL Mechanical Mod

smpl mechanical modBased in Garden Grove, California, Epic Design Studios has been a thriving manufacturer in the United States, but has received a great amount of attention for its latest creation, the SMPL Mechanical Mod.

The SMPL mod is an original, or authentic, mod from Epic Design Studios that took a solid year to design and manufacturer.  It was created to ultimately simplify the vaping experience by designing the device as one full body with no way to extend or shorten the body.  Instead, the SMPL mod comes in three sizes that accommodates 3 battery sizes, 18650, 18500 and its smallest form, an 18350 battery, which makes it one very compact mechanical mod.  The 18650 SMPL is 22mm x 78mm, the 18500 SMPL is 22mm x 63.68mm, and the 18350 SMPL is 22mm x 48.44mm.

Since the SMPL is constructed of one single tube, it makes it easy to use and very innovative.  You can expect a direct battery to atomizer 510 connection, which serves for enhanced performance and battery life, a “no top cap” design that is constructed out of a one piece tube that eliminates hybridizers and top caps, and a simple and very short throw button that is recessed and easily threads and un-threads from the tube with a finger or coin.  If you’re getting the idea, with the SMPL mod, there is no top cap, no bottom cap, and absolutely no adjustable pins.  Epic Design Studios designed this device so that you can quickly and simply screw on your atomizer of choice, drop in a battery, screw on the bottom and vape away.

You may expect the SMPL mechanical mod to come with quite the price tag, but surprisingly it’s fairly cheap as an authentic U.S. made mod.  However, it still doesn’t come close to making it into the inexpensive list, so we’re going to link you to a cloned version that won’t leave your pockets completely empty.

  1. The only thing is, is most of these mods you can find on fast tech for very cheap. Why not do an article about the 10 least expensive authentic mechanical mod?

    • I personally couldn’t agree with you more Paul but as with most of these Vape Deal websites or mod blogs they have all been sponsored by FastTech or any one of the many Chinese marketeers.
There are actually a lot of inexpensive authentic mechanical mods out these days whether they’re authentic US or authentic China made they are their authentic and not clones.

  2. There are a lot of US sites that offer great inexpensive mech mods. I feel like the writer was just too lazy to do any real research. Check out Angelcigs, 101 Vapes, Sweet Vapes, etc. You can even get some pretty good deals on ebay.
Shame on you for sending everyone straight to Fasttech for everything where everyone knows you take a chance of hit or miss when buying from them.

    • That isn’t the case at all. I wasn’t being lazy – in fact, posts about products are the easiest to write about. I linked to FastTech because the lowest price someone can get is typically what is wanted. Trust me, I can link to plenty of other sites, but many find themselves looking for the absolute best deal, and that is what I offered.

      • I’m very confused, as the lancelot, vapesirs, is created by Jason borne, out of the phillipines… missouri??? where’d that come from?

        • That’s what I found with research. I’m pretty sure that’s right, but I would have to research again to become more familiar with it and where it came from. After thousands of posts, it’s easy to forget many factors — I apologize.

  3. Are these clones from Fast tech

  4. this is EXACTLY the kind of post I was looking for, thank you!

  5. Just so that you know… for the FUhattans that you linked are actually a clone of a clone. The ones that have 1/1 on the button is the original Manhattan clone… the one with the mickey mouse doing the middle finger are clones of a clone. not that its a problem, but just thought people should know.

    • Sorry George but you are soooo wrong, the original fu hattans was Manhattan mods that Av didn’t pay for.so the company renamed them and sold them to make up for lost revenues.
