LMC Box Mod Operation

Before Turning The Device On: Before you even think about turning the device on, you must first insert two 18650 batteries.  Once the batteries have been inserted into the device the correct way, the screen will automatically come on and display “LMC” as the startup.  After the startup screen, it will then display the main screen that shows the wattage, the memory preset (M1, M2, M3), the attached coil’s resistance and a place where the voltage will appear once the fire button is pressed.  Bellow all of that is a long bar stretching the length of the screen that indicates the current battery life.

Power On/Off: To power the device off completely, pressing the fire button 5 times will display “Power Off” on the screen.  Press the top adjustment button once while “Power Off” is on the screen and the device will display “Off”, and then it will presume to shut down. The device will not function while it’s off.  To turn the device back on, press the fire button 5 times again and the device will default to the main screen.

Lock/Unlock: The LMC Box Mod has a locking feature that will put the device to sleep.  By pressing the fire button 3 times, “device locked” will appear on the screen to show the device has been locked.  When the device has been locked, the buttons on the control face will not function.  By pressing the fire button 3 times again, “device unlocked” will appear on the screen to show the device has been unlocked and is ready for use.

Accessing The Menu: To access the menu equipped on the LMC Box Mod, you must first press the fire button 5 times, which will place you into the menu.  You can switch between its parent menu’s by pressing the fire button, and you can adjust settings through its sub-menu’s by pressing the adjustment buttons.

Switching Between Power/Temp Mode: To switch between power (wattage) and temp mode, you must first access the device’s menu by pressing the fire button 5 times.  Once the menu has been accessed “Power Off” will appear on the screen.  Press the fire button to switch to the next parent menu and “Mode Power” will appear on the screen.  Mode Power is wattage mode.  If you would like to switch to temp control mode, simply press the top adjustment button and “Mode Temp” will appear on the screen.  Continue reading to get access to and use temp control settings…

Temperature Control Mode: To confirm that you want to use the temperature control mode, press the fire button and it will then prompt more options for the temp mode to be used.  “Temperature Ni” will then appear on the screen.  By pressing the top adjustment button you can cycle from Temperature Ni, Temperature Ti, Temperature SS.  Choose the wire that will be used with the LMC Box Mod by navigating to it and pressing the fire button to confirm.  Once you’ve confirmed the wire type, the next option that will appear on the screen is “Unit C”, which stands for Celsius.  To switch to Fahrenheit, press the top adjustment button once and the screen will display “Unit F”.  Confirm your preference by pressing the fire button and the next option will be to choose your temperature preference.  Adjust the temperature with the top and bottom adjustment buttons and confirm your preference by pressing the fire button once.

Once the temperature has been confirmed and the fire button is pressed, you’re then brought to the main menu.  You can either press the fire button again to get “Exit Menu” to appear on the screen or don’t press anything and the screen will automatically default to the main screen.  To exit the menu when “Exit Menu” is displaying on the screen, press the top adjustment button and it will take you to the main screen.

Wattage/Power Mode: To change to “Power Mode”, access the menu by pressing the fire button 5 times.  Once in the main menu, “Power Off” will appear on the screen.  Press the fire button once and “Mode Power” will appear on the screen.  To cycle between “Mode Power” and “Mode Temp”, press the top adjustment button.  To confirm wattage mode, press the fire button while “Mode Power” is displaying on the screen.  Once you’ve confirmed “Mode Power”, an “Auto Adjust Power Off” will appear on the screen.  To have the device auto adjust its power for you while in wattage mode, press the top adjustment button once to cycle to “ON”.  Pressing the top adjustment button once again will cycle to “OFF”.  Once you’ve made your preference, press the fire button once, the wattage adjustment screen will appear.  Choose your wattage preference by pressing the top and bottom adjustment buttons, and then confirm your preference by pressing the fire button once. Press the fire button once again to get to “Exit Menu”. To exit the menu you can either press the top adjustment button, which will take you to the main screen or you can not press any buttons and the screen will default to the main screen.

Fire Modes: To switch between fire modes, you must first be on the main screen.  Press the bottom adjustment button to access the fire modes, then press either the top or bottom adjustment buttons to cycle between SO (Soft), ST (Standard), and PO (Power).  Each mode offers a different fire mode that will effect the performance of the device, whether that be starting out with less power and ramping up to your set wattage, your set wattage with no power curve, or more power and ramping down to your set wattage.  To confirm your preference press the fire button once.

Memory Presets: To cycle between memory presents, simply press the top adjustment button while on the main screen.  You have the ability to cycle between M1, M2, and M3.  Each present can be changed to your preference.  To change a memory preset, first make sure you’re on the main screen, then press the top adjustment button and cycle to the memory preset you would like to change and the memory preset will blink.  While the memory preset is blinking, you still have the option to switch to another present by pressing the top adjustment button.  Once you’re on the preset you want to change, press the bottom adjustment button and the wattage will begin to blink.  While the wattage is blinking, press the top or bottom adjustment buttons to set your prefered wattage for that memory preset.

  1. Blake, thank you so much for taking the time to compose this very thorough LMC operations guide, something the makers of this Mod should have done themselves. When I received my LMC there were no instructions or user guide of any kind included with the device. Not good! I searched the net to find something helpful but found little or nothing until I accidently came across your helpful article. Now I can learn the proper use and maintenance of this device without the frustrating and time wasting trial and error process thanks to you! Excellent 5 Star piece.

  2. I bought the LMC 200 and didn’t get a how to manual. If you can find this manual would be greatly appreciated.

  3. I want to thank you Mr. Brown for providing these instructions for the Limitless LMC box mod. I purchased one online and it came with no instructions, just a card with a QR code, but when I scanned the card it led me to their website with only instructions for other Limitless products. I’ve been a vaper for years and own quite a few different box mods, and as you know each one is different and this one is a little tricky, I probably wouldn’t be able to vape on it until I had fiddled around with it for awhile. For what it’s worth, I think that Limitless makes some of the best box mods and their copper mech mod is amazing. I would also recommend their RDA, they are well built and the color changing ones are a cool addition to top off one of their mods. Thank you so much for your help, you’ve saved me a lot of time.

    • Glad you found some use from this guide! Thanks for visiting!

    • Hello again Mr. Brown, I have a question about this new mod, the Limitless LMC box mod. I don’t see any place to set your temperature when first using a coil in temp control mode. Most box mods with TC require you to lock in or set the initial temp of the coil while it is at room temperature. Is this a requirement for this mod or is it done automatically by the internal chipset of the mod? I’ve seen a few mods that don’t require you to lock in the temperature, it’s more convenient to the user, I just wanted to make sure I am using it correctly. I didn’t see any mention of that step in your instructions. Thanks again.

  4. I want to thank you for having these instructions up online. It seem that Limitless MOD Co. does not see the need to have this information online. I just picked up a LMC Box Mod with extra side plates used but looking almost new for a little less than I would have paid online for just the Box Mod. With the extra set of side plates that made it a great deal. However the first owner is not like me. I have the box, instructions, and parts packs for every vape item I own. I found that I needed a bit of help to find my way around the menus for this mod. So glad you had it here in eazy to understand language. Thanks for all the help as it was just what I needed to use my new toy.

  5. Thanks so much for the work you do. You really helped me a lot with my LMC

  6. This mod is amazing in the sense of it’s looks and the ability to change the draw settings, but other than that, it is really basic and lacks settings. It does not work with tanks.

  7. my mods display is glitching on and off and will only fire when on, any tips?

  8. Why can’t I change the watts higher? Everytime i press the udjustment botton it only shows the lock sign. ?

  9. Blake,
I’m brand new to vaping (no nic, just flavor). My friend gave me the mod and until I found your article I had no idea how it worked.
As a newbie to vaping, not knowing what to set, do you have some basic settings you would recommend I start with and then what adjustments to make from there? Temps, Watts,…. I’m confused .
    Thanks for your help.

  10. Thanks dude for the instructions I would of never figured out how to change my presets…well it would of taken a few days but once again great job on the manual!

  11. I just bought a this mod and it only drains one battery for some reason. Any help would be great!
