A Complete Guide To The Vandy Vape Pulse AIO Kit

West Coast Vape Supply

The Vandy Vape Pulse AIO Kit is one of the latest collaborations between Vandy Vape and Tony Brittan. It is the latest installment of the Pulse series and it’s definitely causing a stir in the vaping community. It’s bringing back the excitement of mods and introducing boro-style devices, while also maintaining a level of convenience and portability, which is certainly what the majority of vaping consumers are prioritizing in today’s era considering the fact that disposable vapes have gained so much popularity.

In this addition to our collection of guides, we’re going to focus on the Pulse AIO Kit by Vandy Vape to share all of the information about this device, ranging from who made it, how to use it, its features and specifications, and resources that will help you enjoy this device even after you’ve bought the device. Once you’ve finished reading this guide, you’ll know everything there is to know about the Pulse AIO Kit, and with that, we would like to officially welcome you to your journey down the rabbit hole.

What Is The Vandy Vape Pulse AIO Kit?

The Vandy Vape Pulse AIO Kit is a boro-style vaping device that is manufactured by Vandy Vape and designed by Tony Brittan. It was released on November 15, 2021. The device stands 97.5mm by 55.6mm by 28.2mm, taking on a fairly compact and portable design with a rather small footprint. It is capable of housing a single 18650, 20700, or 21700 battery, which can be both internally or externally charged via a Type-C USB charging port. Situated perfectly on its housing are an intuitive firing button and two adjustment buttons, which allow you to easily operate the device. Additionally, the housing of the device features an OLED display as well that will allow you to carry out those operations.

Vandy Vape Pulse AIO Colors

The Pulse AIO utilizes a proprietary Vandy Vape chipset, which comes stacked with a variety of features, including a puff counter, variable wattage control, variable voltage control, temperature control, and a bypass mode. The chip comes equipped with a full protection suite as well, which consists of open-circuit protection, over-current protection, 10 seconds cut-off, short circuit protection, over-temperature protection, and low-battery warning. What’s most impressive about the chip is that it allows you to reach up to 80W of vaping power and the ability to take advantage of its 0.05ohm minimum resistance.

Along with an adjustable positive pin, the Pulse utilizes both pre-built coils and DIY coils. There are 2 boro-style tanks. One of them accepts pre-built coils and is referred to as the Vessel Pre-Built Tank, while the second tank is a rebuildable tank and is referred to as the Vessel RBA Tank. The Pre-Built Tank is compatible with VVC mesh coils, which include the 0.15ohm, 0.3ohm, 0.6ohm, 0.9ohm, and 1.2ohm. The RBA Tank features curved airflow and can use single or dual coils. The Pre-Built Tank has a 5mL capacity and the RBA Tank has a 3.7mL capacity. Both tanks have adjustable airflow control, are boro compatible, and the tanks work in most boro-style mods.

Vandy Vape AIO Kit Accessories

The most interesting part about the Vandy Vape Pulse AIO is the level of customization that it offers. The device is completely customizable, and Vandy Vape has even developed interchangeable RBA Tanks, external panels, internal panels, buttons, button rings, and screws. You can easily swap between the various colored accessories. The Pulse AIO comes in a variety of colors as well, including Black, Frosted White, Frosted Green, Frosted Black, Frosted Red, and Frosted Blue.

What Is A “Boro” Style Mod?

A boro-style mod is a device that is capable of housing a boro tank. The tank must be boro-compatible, meaning it can fit into particular mods that are specially designed for the boro style of tanks. These tanks often share a similar size, though their internals can differ greatly. This allows users to switch between various styles of RBA Tanks, bridges, and use various pre-built coils from a range of manufacturers and brands.

While the first boro-style mod originated from Billet Box, it sparked further creativity and innovation from a variety of manufacturers, which created a whole new market of its own within the vaping industry. Most boro-style mods are very expensive, and since most of these devices are littered with customization options, people find themselves paying much more for the accessories to alter the way they vape and to change the appearance of these devices — this is why it’s referred to as the “rabbit hole”. Due to their high costs, Tony Brittan and Vandy Vape collaborated together on the Pulse AIO Kit to provide a more affordable boro mod option, making these devices and the level of customization more accessible to the masses.

Who Makes The Pulse AIO Kit?

Vandy Vape is the manufacturing brand that makes the Pulse AIO Kit. Tony Brittan, however, is the one who provided influence in the design of the mod. Both Vandy Vape and Tony Brittan have been collaborating on the Pulse series for years, and each device you find that is stamped with “a Tony B project” is an indication of that collaboration.

How To Use The Vandy Vape Pulse

The Vandy Vape Pulse AIO Kit includes an instruction manual that is very thorough and provides all of the information you need to properly use the device. However, throughout many years of writing our guides, we’ve found that viewers have a hard time reading the small text in these manuals or prefer reading the instructions online. In our guides, we always include a unique set of instructions to help or use as a reference, and we’re doing the same thing for the Pulse AIO Kit. If you have a piece of information that we can add to this list and share with others, feel free to let us know in the comments section of this page.

How To Remove The Vessel Pre-Built Tank?

Start by removing the drip tip and the back door panel from the device. Then use the all-in-one wrench tool provided in the kit to remove the top 510 screw (it’s the screw that the drip tip sits in). The screw has two notches that the tool fits into perfectly. Once the screw is removed, you can then remove the tank. When you reverse the process to re-install the tank, make sure that you do not over-tighten the screw as it can easily damage the device.

How To Remove The Vessel Pre-Built Tank Coil?

While the tank is removed from the device, turn the tank upside down where the coil is facing upright. Next, use the all-in-one wrench tool to pry the coil upwards.

How To Fill The Vessel Pre-Built Tank?

While the tank is installed inside of the device, and ONLY while it is installed in the device, pull back the silicone plug. Next, insert the needle-nose tip of your vape juice bottle into the hole and begin filling it. Once you’ve filled the tank (fill to about 80% full to avoid a mess), re-insert the silicone plug.

How To Adjust The Vessel Pre-Built Tank Airflow?

While the tank is removed from the device, rotate the adjustable airflow ring that is just below the tank housing.

How To Use The Vessel RBA Tank?

While the RBA Tank is outside of the device, open the tank to expose its internals. Next, loosen the flathead screws, install the wire coil, and re-tighten the screws. Insert the cotton inside of the coil and allow the ends of the cotton to rest in the juice channels located on either side. Next, soak the cotton with your vape juice of choice, re-insert the tank back onto the deck, and hold the two pieces together as you insert the RBA tank back into the device. Then, you will need to install the 510 screw to lock the tank in place. Lastly, pull up the silicone plug, fill the tank with your preferred vape juice, re-insert the plug, and adjust to your desired airflow.

How To Remove The Inner Panel?

First, remove the front door panel from the device. Next, you will see the inner panel on your left. There are 2 ways to proceed. A) You can use your all-in-one wrench tool to remove the firing button ring, then remove the 3 screws that hold the panel in place. B) You can first remove the 3 screws that hold the panel in place, then complete the removal of the panel by then removing the firing button ring. We suggest removing the ring first, then remove the panel.

How To Change The Firing Button?

Remove the firing button by first removing the front door panel. Next, use your all-in-one wrench tool and remove the button ring that holds the button in place. Change the button to another you prefer and ensure it’s center positioned. Lastly, re-install the button ring.

Resources

When it comes to the Pulse, the resources are everything. What’s most spectacular about this device is that there are so many customization options, and thankfully, most of them are very affordable. People are coming up with different ways to differentiate their devices from others, and it is the “modders” that are making the majority of the customization possible. If you don’t understand it, take a look at it like this: when people buy cars they often tint the windows, add aftermarket rims and tires, and sometimes wrap their cars or get a new paint job. The devices we invest in are treated the same way and people alter their appearance with various accessories available. The vaping community often refers to it as “the rabbit hole,” because once you buy a boro-style mod, you then feel compelled to buy this and that for it. It’s essentially a money pit.

Here is a look at all of the resources we’ve collected. We’re sure that there are more available that have gone unlisted. If you know of another great resource for accessories, feel free to leave a comment to let others know where they can find them.

The group is private, however, it is open to adult vapers who own or have an interest in the Vandy Vape Pulse AIO Kit. Boro Tanks, RBAs, and Bridges

When it comes to Boro tanks, RBA’s, and bridges, it can be very confusing. There are a lot of interchangeable parts and some parts that only work with certain tanks. Speaking from experience, everything can seem like a big puzzle to someone that is new to these types of products. However, like with anything in vaping, once you’ve learned the basics, it’s easier to put these puzzles together and differentiate each piece.

Here at Guide To Vaping, we’ve always been a huge source for vaping information, and free referrals aren’t common unless it’s earned. However, you have to give credit where credit is due, and Chris Leckness from BilletBox.info is definitely due. He has built an amazing blog that caters to the world of Boro products. In fact, as we pry more into this world ourselves, he is our source for information too. There is a lot to be learned about Boro products and we’re more than willing to point you in the right direction for accurate information. Thank you for all of the help, Chris! (Roll Tide!)

Boro Tanks

When it comes to the tanks, there are only a select few, and they have very minor differences between them. The two most notable originate from Billet Box Vapor, which includes the Rev 4 Boro and the A-Tank. Though minor, the difference between these two tanks is the hole at the bottom. The hole (or opening) is designed for a coil or RBA. The Rev 4 Boro includes a SMOK Nord Coil Adapter, while the A-Tank was initially made for the use of Aspire Nautilus coils. To learn more about the differences between the various Boro tanks, feel free to visit our friends at BilletBox.info.

Boro RBA’s

There are tons of RBA’s and there are more that are being continuously released, especially considering the hype around Boro-style mods within the last few years. While we would love to keep you around, BilletBox.info has made a thorough list of RBA’s that are currently available. Some of them lack popularity, while others have gained quite the following. To receive some guidance on which one of these RBA’s you should consider, Chris from BilletBox.info has shared his favorite Billet Box RBA’s to help you choose the right one for you.

Boro Bridges

Just like Boro RBA’s, the bridges are just as popular, and many of them are being released so that you can use your favorite branded pre-built coil heads. If you aren’t one for building your coils, Boro bridges are your best friend. If you visit BilletBox.info, you’ll find a list of bridges with information on compatible coil heads.
