IndyCar Team Adds ‘blu eCigs’ As Sponsor

West Coast Vape Supply

Rahal Letterman Lanigan Racing has signed “blu eCigs” to sponsor the IndyCar team his season.

The electronic cigarette brand will be the primary sponsor for Mike Conway at Long Beach in April, and will be an associate sponsor on Graham Rahal’s car for the entire season. Blu eCigs will take on a high-profile role with the team through strategic branding and personal services.

Jason Healy, president of North Carolina-based blu eCigs, said Wednesday the e-cigarette company has “seen a very positive response by fans and crew alike from our previous involvement in motorsports.”

RLL co-owner Bobby Rahal said blu eCigs is a fit with IndyCar because the series “prides itself on innovative designs and superior performance.”.

  1. Wow, must be nice having a fat budget, courtesy of the guys you were basically fighting against just a while ago, right blu?

I never got over the irony of this big acquisition by Lorrilard. Sure blu gave their reasons, and I suppose they weren’t totally senseless, but isn’t the utopic purpose of the e-cig to make analogs obsolete? What, they’re using tobacco money now to make that happen?

Oh yeah, good luck with your Indycar sponsorship, although you’d be better off using that money to develop a decent e-cigarette…
