Appearance
When it comes to the appearance of this little guy, also known as the eGo AIO, you’re given a subtle sight to look at. There isn’t a whole lot going on with it, so don’t expect it to turn many heads – at least until you press the fire button.
It comes with two drip tips, so you can swap from a glossy black color or go with the clear glass. The top cap can obviously separate from the rest of the tank, as there is a gap between them. Just below is the tank portion, where there is just enough of the body cut away to indicate how much e-liquid is in the tank. About mid way down the eGo AIO sits the micro-USB charging port on one side, while the other side has a fire button. That about sums it up for how it looks, but you can take that as a good thing or a bad thing – it just depends on what you prefer.
Features
Though you may feel like you’re not getting much from its appearance, it’ll certainly make up for it once you press in that fire button. Each time you press the fire button, the inside of the 2mL tank will light up, which gives a press cool look. You have the choice of 7 colors that is illuminated by an LED. To access and change these color options, simply press the fire button down 5 times to turn the device off, then hold the fire button down until you see the current color blink, then just let go and cycle each color by pressing the fire button.
The two drip tips that come with the AIO have a purpose: the black one has a more restricted airflow for mouth to lung hits, while the clear glass drip tip is used for a straight flow of air for lung hits. Another quite notable feature is the top cap, which has a child proof locking mechanism. In order to access the tank, the liquid or coil head, you must fire press down on the cap, then turn it to unscrew. If you don’t press down and just turn the top cap, then you’re adjusting the airflow since the adjustable airflow control is built into that top cap. Pretty cool huh?
Other than that, you’re left with a micro-USB port for charging the 1500mAh built-in battery, and the fire button on the other side that allows you to not only cycle through LED colors, but also allows you to turn the device on and off whenever you’d like. And the last feature that I must mention is the leak proof design. The Joyetech eGo AIO utilizes the same design found in the Joyetech Cubis, which offered a cup designed tank. This means the bottom is closed off while the top is open – just like a glass cup. With this design, there is no possible way for the tank to leak — something tanks have been plagued with for years. Since the top is open, obviously it has a top fill design and the coil attached to the top cap, rather than the bottom.
Performance
The vapor production from the eGo AIO is pretty nice for such a little device, and for it being geared towards beginner vapers. It utilizes a 316 Stainless Steel coil that has a resistance of 0.6Ω. You can’t adjust the voltage or wattage on this device, as it simply uses the voltage remaining on your battery. That being said, as your battery depletes, the performance will start to trickle. The flavor seemed spot on and it continued to wick my higher viscosity e-liquid consistently. No complaints in my book!
