Panzer Black Hawk Clone Review

West Coast Vape Supply

The Panzer Black Hawk has received a lot of hype, so it’s been a focus of mine to get this device in my hands and review it for all of you viewers. For those of you who may have been living under a rock or if you’re just not into the rebuildable portion of the market, the Panzer is a mechanical mod, which is commonly used with rebuildable atomizers. The Black Hawk branding of the device is a special version of the Panzer, which is named after a powerful German tank. The only thing that separates the special edition Black Hawk version from the original is the black coating on the device.

Appearance

Coated in a glossy black and accented with a brass ring towards the bottom and silver for its brand labeling, this device is truly a beauty to gawk at. From its silver gear shaped cutout surrounding the 510 connection, to the lines throughout the device that give it its uniqueness, the Panzer Black Hawk doesn’t leave you with a dull part anywhere on the device. There is hardly any part of the device that doesn’t have a line or etching and because of this, the device seems very busy, but not enough to where it’s too much. The top-side of the Black Hawk has its Panzer branding and followed by the words that are actually on the authentic Black Hawk – “By MCV Philippines.”  Towards the middle of the device says Black Hawk, while the bottom button is etched with a hawk, and a number. which says 1075. I’m not sure how all of you feel about the appearance of the Black Hawk, but for me, the device is absolutely sexy and stunning. For this reason, the Panzer Black Hawk was a serious must have for not only my personal collection of devices, but for the performance as well.

Features

The Black Hawk not only features etched lines throughout the device to give it that unique appearance, but it also gains it uniqueness from its buttery smooth threading in each place that the Black Hawk separates. Those separation points allow for the device to be used with a single 18350, 18500 or 18650 battery. The threads on those separation points and the threads on the button are seriously smooth and I honestly wasn’t expecting the quality of the Black Hawk to be as great as it is. The bottom button is a spring switch, which presses in well and doesn’t stick.

Performance

The Panzer in general is a performance beast, however, the Black Hawk edition has a bit of a high voltage drop since the Black Hawk’s coating extends onto the 510 threading. This can be an issue for some, but there is an easy fix for this. You can either build your coils resistance lower to account for that voltage drop, or you can try to remove the coating on the threads. There are videos on YouTube that will walk you through the process of removing that coating. Anyhow, the Black Hawk performs very well and even though there is that small issue with the coating, this thing fires away immediately and chucks clouds with my current setup. 1. Seriously?? Blake you must have been sleeping under a few rocks. Old news. It has a bit more voltage drop than the panzer witch slightly inhibits performance compared to its brother. Saw a fix on youtube for voltage drop fixes by placing a copper strip inside the tube. Apparently works well on other mods as well. You can go back to your Rip Van Winkle nap now, zzzzzzzzzzzzzzz.

    • I don’t think it necessarily means I’ve been sleeping under a rock just because I’m providing old information for an older device, on a new review. Just because you may know about this doesn’t mean everyone else does. This review is for everyone to read. But, just to let you know, I was pretty tired when writing this review. I didn’t worry about removing any coating on the threads… I just build with a wrap more or so and throw it on the meter. Doesn’t bother me, but may bother others.

  2. What if the number reads 2102 has a picture of a guy w/mask & does not say Black hawk on it? Though does say phazer by mcv Philippines? Is this still a black hawk?
