The Toronto based store, 180 Smoke, has announced the opening of its new flagship store, which opened just 5 days ago. As a means to sway smokers to electronic cigarettes, they’ll be giving away a Rechargeable E-Cig Kit to any smokers that are wanting to give up their last pack of (tobacco) cigarettes.

What are they going to do with the collected pack of cigarettes? At this moment, 180 Smoke’s stuck between sending them to a toxic waste site, back to the manufacturer or turn them into an art project.
I think this idea is fantastic! 180 Smoke obviously has a large marketing budget, but the plan serves for a great purpose, harm reduction. Now if we can get some of our US vendors to do the same, that’ll be another story worth reporting.

That’s amazing. Unfortunately this may only be hype and media falsehoods to promote a certain idea based on “See if they do it”. No one else in Toronto knows anything about this.
