Why You Should Gift Your Brother-in-Law CBD

West Coast Vape Supply

The holiday season is over, but, for better or worse, that doesn’t mean you won’t have to buy anyone gifts for another 12 months. If you have friends and family, the gift-giving season never ends. Whether for a birthday, a wedding, a housewarming party, or a baby shower, you’ll need to give gifts.

Many of us learn the same two lessons every holiday season about gift-giving:

  1. Better to start shopping for gifts well in advance, rather than at the last minute
  2. It’s hard to give someone you don’t know well a gift they’ll genuinely enjoy

Although there are complex reasons shoppers procrastinate, what you can take away from lesson number one is simple: don’t wait until the last minute to buy gifts. Easier said than done, sure, but not impossible.

Lesson two is more complex. If you feel that you’ll never be able to get, say, your brother-in-law a gift he’ll genuinely enjoy, why bother? Why not settle for giving him money or, slightly better, a gift card? Well, you could gift him money, especially if you have a lot and he doesn’t, but he would probably appreciate a thoughtful, personalized gift more. He would probably also appreciate a surprising gift that can take him out of his comfort zone and encourage him to try something new. For example, CBD products.

CBD that you can get from places like Happy Tree Buds in Canada is an active ingredient in cannabis that’s derived from the hemp plant, which is grown for medicinal use. People tend to be more inclined to try CBD (cannabidiol) products than products with high levels of THC because CBD products are non-psychoactive, i.e. they don’t make you “high.” What’s more, CBD products also have therapeutic benefits. They can help with depression, anxiety, and even PTSD. And they can help relieve physical pain which, if your brother-in-law is human, is a thing he experiences from time to time.

Since as far back as 2900 BC, people have advocated on the behalf of CBD for its pain-relieving properties, but only now is science starting to catch up. Studies have suggested that these ancient claims may be true. Our body naturally produces endocannabinoids—neurotransmitters connected to the cannabinoid receptors in our nervous systems—which play a role in regulating pain sensation. CBD may help relieve pain by affecting endocannabinoid receptor activity in our nervous systems.

According to the World Health Organization, “In humans, CBD exhibits no effects indicative of any abuse or dependence potential.” That means that, if the pain-relieving potential of CBD appeals to your brother-in-law, he need not worry that he’ll become addicted or dependent. In other words, even if your brother-in-law is skeptical of trying CBD, he need not be afraid. And who knows, if he’s willing to try your gift, he may join the chorus of people who have been advocating for the therapeutic benefits of CBD since ancient times. CBD may be something he needs without yet knowing he needs it. It may be the best gift he’ll get all year.
