NJOY, a leadering electronic cigarette manufacturer filed a lawsuit against Victory Electronic Cigarettes some time ago. NJOY filed the lawsuit in the U.S. District Court for the District of Arizona for patent and trade dress infringement.
“NJOY alleged that Victory e-cigarettes infringe patented technology used in the NJOY disposable King cigarette (U.S. Patent No. 8,539,959) and that Victory e-cigarette cases infringe NJOY’s trade dress rights protecting its uniquely identifiable King case.” reports cspnet, a source for convenience store and fuel news.
As a result to NJOY’s lawsuit, Victory has agreed to stop selling the e-cigarettes and cases in question.
