The Davide Glassomizer Tank by AnyVape is a stellar accessory for any vaper. It falls in the line of the original Protank, but seems to be improved upon – rather it be from the way you fill the tank, its e-liquid capacity or the coil; it’s one of the best single coil vapes I’ve experienced.
(Note: I received the AnyVape Davide Glassomizer Tank from Cool Vapors – Dothan, AL.)
Packaging
The Davide Tank is housed in a black box with green accents; just big enough to hold the Davide Tank, an extra Coil and the eGo connector cover. The box looks something like you would see in a retail store, offering a nice and professional look, as well as displaying the beautifully designed product. On the back of the packaging, there is a “Quick Start Guide” that basically tells you about the Davide, what comes in the package and just below tells how to use the tank. In addition, they’ve also added two warnings -“Keep Away From Children” and “The Tube Was Made of Pyrex, Do Not Drop”.
Appearance
Much like many of the pyrex tanks that are being released, the Davide Tank looks absolutely stunning. With this particular unit in today’s review, my tank has an all gold plating that looks fascinating. At the top, there is a drip tip specifically made for the Davide tank, and it sits pleasantly well. Below the drip tip, the Davide tank takes on a rounded shape as it drops to the sides. The middle, a quite large pyrex glass, looks clear and provides an easy sight to view e-liquid. Just below the pyrex glass sits the bottom piece to the tank. At the very bottom is the bottom piece that holds the 510 male connector.
The AnyVape Davide Tank looks like a cross between the first Protank and the second. It has the removable drip tip of the Protank 2, but at the same time, it has the flow of the original Protank. Though it looks very similar, it’s safe to say the Davide is in its own class.
Performance
The Davide performs outstandingly well. The draw isn’t tight – more towards being fairly loose. However, it isn’t as loose as say the Protank – which is why I don’t use the Protank consistently. Using other bottom coil tanks I would always use the top wick removal process you’ve seen me go on about in other reviews; with the Davide, I haven’t had to remove a wick and it’s wicked perfectly. I can honestly say that using the AnyVape Davide Glassomizer, I’m getting the best vaping experience in comparison to the original Protank and Protank 2 – but unfortunately, it doesn’t come close to the dual coil clearomizers.
The bottom of the Davide tank is a lot different from something like the original and Protank 2 – instead of having a full open spot to fill the tank, it only has two holes. The two holes are said to be designed in such a way to prevent leaking of e-liquid. I find that this design makes it easier to refill the tank and removes having to tilt the tank when refilling, as you would do on many other tanks. Though a regular e-liquid bottle works well when refilling the tank, a needle top bottle will make things even easier.
Quality
The Davide looks great and performs outstanding, and as ‘too good to be true’ as this may start to seem, it is… because the quality is equal to the other categories. Everything from the gold-plated metal core, to the clear pyrex glass, this tank screams greatness. The threads on the connector are smooth and everything put together seals well. I’ve seen no leaking and most surprisingly, I’m taken back by how well the single coil has performed.
Note: Cool Vapors (where I got the Davide from) doesn’t have an online store to purchase the Davide. However, you can do a quick Google Search and many shops carry them.
I just purchased a 2013 version Anyvape Davide clearomizer and it came with two aspire dual coil atomizers. With the aspire dual coils I feel this is the best tank I’ve used yet. The aspire dual coil atomizer gives the davide way more vapor production and taste than any other setup I’ve used. Did you get the older single coil version? The newer dual coil davide is imo the best tank your money can buy. Most vapor by far, way better taste, no leaks at all, full disassemble, everything you can want (btw, I’m not impressed with Anyvape’s new peakomizer, it causes the aspire dual coil to give a burnt taste and comes nowhere near the davide with an aspire dual coil). The davide with an aspire dual coil blows any kangertech product out of the water (I’ve tried them all), unless you go buy an aspire dual coil adaptor for your protank 😉
