Coil Master’s Vape Tweezers are probably the most important piece in my vape bag. That is a bold opening statement for any article, but today I am going to give you a couple of examples of where these funky looking tweezers have saved the day. There are so many people who believe that tweezers are just tweezers (I used to be one of them), but from a vapers perspective these have certain features that can save your vaping life. Give me 2 minutes of your time and I will convince you that your tool kit is lacking if you don’t own these.
First things first, if you’re using metal tweezers to perform any task on your build deck, you run the risk of causing an accidental short. Think about it — metal tool on an electrical circuit — if you accidentally hit the firing button you can fry your coil, or worse. The Coil Master Vape tweezers are made of plastic with ceramic points, nothing to conduct electricity, so no frying the deck.
More importantly, where you have to pinch and pulse with metal tweezers, with these guys you can cut the time in half and get better results by pulsing while you pinch. The ceramic ends don’t conduct heat back up the shaft, which means that you can keep the coils compressed while you heat them into shape. If this is something you haven’t tried, I can honestly tell you that your coil will hold its shape better (something to do with being pushed into shape while at maximum temperature).
The ceramic points are also needle sharp and come together to form a very fine point. While this can be a problem if you aren’t careful with them (too much force will break them), it comes in really handy for fine work like fluffing excess cotton out of wicks, or placing wicks in hard to access decks. Watch any of our build video’s, I know Blake uses them too and they are always popping into frame.
Moving on up to the body of these tweezers, they may be made out of plastic, but this area is like the Swiss army knife of the vaping kind. The outside is ergonomically designed for ease of use, they’re short enough to sit in the palm of your hand, while sturdy enough to remain steady. The throw between the points are around a quarter of an inch, much larger than regular tweezers and they always spring back open to their full width.
The inside of the body is my main reason for being in love with this thing; 2 seperate area’s with 2 completely different jobs. The lower portion has a cut-out that is perfectly formed to snugly grip a 510 connector or a 510 sized drip tip. This is especially useful when you have that drip tip that refuses to budge and has no decent grip to get leverage.
The second, larger cut-out is for gripping and twisting 22-25mm tanks and RDA’s. How many times have you tried to adjust something on a tank that is completely slick and failed miserably. The knurling around the inner circumference acts as tiny teeth that want to bite into anything and give you enough torque to get it off, while being gentle enough not to cause damage.
This is one of those products that you have no idea how much you need it, until you’ve had one for a while and misplace it. The Coil Master Vape Tweezers are one of the few things that quite literally go everywhere with me, because I never know when they will come in handy.
