4. Vaping Isn’t Safe.. It Isn’t FDA approved
If Electronic Nicotine Delivery Systems were mass-produced by Glaxo Smith Kline or any of the other multinational super conglomerates, they would be the greatest invention since the Polio vaccine or the accidental discovery of antibiotics. As it stands, they are not pharmaceutical products, nor are they tobacco products, and all of their components are reportedly made in shady back rooms and bathtubs.
If we wait around for the next 15 years, the FDA will come up with 10,000 more reasons why people should reject vaping and continue to smoke or take Chantix (both of which are already in good stead with the aforementioned government body). Vapers understand that their technology is brand new(ish), and they’re willing to take the risk of being human guinea pigs for the simple reason that what they are doing is magnitudes greater than smoking for their health. If we all contract vape related illnesses in 20 years time, that is entirely on us, we are doing your testing for you.
The people want to pigeon-hole us into a category for easier regulation, better control and because the industry is a wiggly worm that won’t hold still long enough to put a stamp on its back – they think the best approach is to stab it in the head with a fork.
