Reuleaux RX200S VS RX2/3 – What Is The Difference?

West Coast Vape Supply

Last year Wismec released the Reuleaux RX 200 and due to its affordability, ground breaking triple 18650 design and overall awesomeness quickly became the mod that rose to the top of the pile. Over the last couple of months you may have noticed that the RX 200 has been joined by 2 other versions, the RX200S and the RX 2/3.  If you haven’t had chance to get near them yet, you may be wondering how they are different from the original and more importantly be wondering if they are worth dropping extra cash on.

Over the course of the next couple of minutes we’re going to look at these 2 new devices and give you a quick run down on the improvements and technological leaps that have been put into play.  Whether you love the family of devices or hate them, you can’t argue that they have brought out idea’s that have been jumped on by every other major manufacturer.

The Reuleaux RX200S

In all honesty, the RX 200S is the device that should have been released in place of the RX200, as this was the device that had been quality controlled by the general public and had all of the kinks of the original worked out of it.

Keeping the same general framework as the original with a few adjustments, which included an improved 510 connector that didn’t crash out when used with certain tanks, an over sized screen with much better stacked menu system and an even more accurate temperature control system (even though the original RX200 was phenomenal) the RX 200S was, in my opinion, the best mod that could be bought for less than $100.

The Reuleaux RX2/3

With the 2/3, Wismec took a massive gamble by taking the framework but changing the game.  From the outset the RX2/3 is an RX200S, the same screen, the same capabilities and the same kick ass performance.  As long as the atomizer you put on there is within the resistance thresholds the triple battery configuration will keep you vaping all day long.  The over-sized screen makes adjustments simple and the buttons work perfectly, first time and every time.

The differences start to creep in when you go to change the batteries.  Rather that the original thin plate metal battery cover with 4 magnets, you’re faced with a door that removes almost a third of the body, the third battery in the set being placed inside the cover itself.  Opened by a button on the base and held in by 2 metal clips at the top, if you didn’t know what you were looking at you may be confused.  In this mode, triple 18650 it will perform like its predecessors, 200 watts and a happy vaping time.

Switch out the door for the other in the pack however, and the RX2/3 is designed to run at 150 watts on 2 batteries only.  You have a device that is smaller by almost a third, weighs less but still has the majority of the functionality.  Temperature control works as normal but you lose 50 watts.  Even with the back portion of its signature shape removed there is no mistaking that it is a member of the RX family, although the added portability may have just opened it up to a much wider audience.

Where To Buy?

There are several places you can buy both versions of the RX family, but we of course have our personal recommendation.  There are several factors that go into our recommendation on where you should buy one of these awesome devices, and here’s a list of those so you’re confident with your purchase: The site we recommend is one we’ve recommended throughout GuideToVaping.com, because it offers many incentives, such as FREE SHIPPING, a 60 day warranty with free roundtrip shipping, a 15 day return policy with no restocking fee, a low price guarantee, all products are 100% authentic, and because this site happens to be one of our affiliates, meaning you’re helping support this website — when you purchase from them GuideToVaping.com makes a very small commission, which helps keep the lights on! That said, we appreciate that you use our links and help support us so that we can continue to provide articles just like this. 1. Hi what happens when a vape like the Rx200s drops, will it still be fine to keep

    • It depends on the drop. If you happen to drop it, just make sure you inspect it first thoroughly. There are tons of vapers that have dropped their mod, I’ve done, I’m sure you’ve done it… and my wife is SUPER bad about it. The thing is, your safety should be top priority, so if you feel those batteries were damaged during the drop, if anything I would replace the batteries.

  2. what model can you suggest..the RS200S or the RX 2/3? thank you very much
