Since Wismec first burst onto the vaping scene it has repeatedly given vapers exactly what they were looking for before they even realized it. Mods, tanks, and RDA’s are flying out of the factory faster than most people can spell out Reuleaux, and yesterday it released information of a new take on a crowd favorite. Hot on the heels of the Reuleaux RX200S comes the latest innovation in the RX line-up, and this one is called the RX2/3.
For those of us who didn’t rush out and buy the RX200S when it was released, it seems that this time waiting was the right option. Get ready for another game changer from Wismec!
The Evolution of The RX Family
Starting with the Reuleaux RX200, the innovative triple battery bay and unique design caught most vapers attention quickly, but there were a couple of improvements that the crowd requested. The 510, which was spring-loaded, was too deep in the well for some tanks, and the screen (according to some) needed to be improved. The RX200S hit the market with an improved 510, larger screen, and was available in more color choices than the first. Either of these devices are perfect in my book, but as with anything, vapers still had ideas.
Introducing The RX2/3
Imagine having a mod that can run on three batteries when you want the extra power, but can switch to a 2 bay system for convenience when you are out and about and don’t need the extra weight. All of the style and functionality of its older siblings or a killer dual 18650 box mod — the possibilities are endless.
Keeping many of the features of the RX200S including the 0.96″ OLED screen, spring-loaded 510 connector, and the signature design of the series, the Wismec RX2/3 is going to be a force to be reckoned with. Three in the bay will still give you 200 watts of power at the touch of the button, but switching out the specially designed battery cover will remove an entire battery bay leaving you with 150 watts of power to play with. Measuring in at 40.2mm by 34.5mm by 88.7mm in dual cell mode and 40.2 by 50.1mm by 88.7mm in triple cell mode, there is such a marked difference in size it’s like you’re getting 2 mods for the price of one.
It still has temperature control settings to handle Stainless Steel, Nickel or Titanium coils, and TCR mode so you can program the mod with the specific code to use a wire type accurately, and with the ability to fire those coils between 100 and 315°C (200 and 600°F). Wattage mode limits are a base of 0.1Ω and upper limit of 3.5Ω, for temperature control its 0.05Ω and 1.5Ω.
If you enjoyed the RX200 or the RX200S, the Reuleaux RX2/3 is the next logical progression, especially when you consider the huge array of color choices that are being made available:
Color Options: Cyan& Grey, Red& Black, Full Black, Gold, Matte White, Grey& Silver
Knowing Wismec, it won’t be long before they have a whole new range of replacement plates available, although with this offering they’re probably going to be slightly more expensive as the door now holds a battery bay.BUY IT HERE
